Description : Finance, In the UK, financial industry represents 7% of the GDP. After the Brexit referendum, banks and other financial services industries which highly depended on the EU market are considered to suffer heavy losses due to the decision to sever from the EU. Many people are worried that Brexit will lead to irreversible losses to the UK’s economy, London’s status as the international financial center will be threatened. The UK’s financial services industry is preparing for Brexit, because they are about to lose the financial passport of the EU – which means that they need additional licenses to serve EU customers. Despite the negotiations between London and Brussels, many financial services have been not able to wait for the result and begun to move from London to cities in continental Europe. In order to analyze the consequences of Brexit onto the attractiveness of the city of London, questionnaires were distributed to 31 professionals from Luxembourg, EU, UK and China who are working in financial services industry. Most answers of the questionnaire were transformed into quantitative data, using the Principal Components Analysis (PCA) by XLSTAT© software in Excel to test the potential impact of the Brexit to the City of London and to explain EU financial places (Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt)
