<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La parodontite est une maladie inflammatoire chronique caractérisée par la destruction des tissus de soutien de la dent, conséquence d’une réponse immunitaire exacerbée où Porphyromonas gingivalis semble jouer un rôle clé. Les vésicules extracellulaires (VE), nanostructures sécrétées par les cellules, participent à la communication intercellulaire et au transport de biomolécules impliquées dans l’inflammation. Des VE issues de cellules épithéliales orales infectées par P. gingivalis ont été caractérisées par NTA, puis une analyse de leurs effets inflammatoires sur des cellules naïves et de leur contenu en microARN a été effectuée. Les résultats montrent que ces VE sont pro-inflammatoires et contiennent davantage de microARN modulant les voies de signalisation inflammatoires de l’hôte. Ces vésicules semblent avoir un rôle dans la propagation de l’inflammation parodontale. Cependant, leur potentiel comme vecteurs naturels de biomolécules ouvre des perspectives thérapeutiques innovantes pour le contrôle de l’inflammation et la régénération parodontale.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the destruction of tooth-supporting tissues, resulting from an exacerbated immune response in which Porphyromonas gingivalis appears to play a key role. Extracellular vesicles (EV), nanosized structures secreted by cells, participate in intercellular communication and in the transport of biomolecules involved in inflammation. EV derived from oral epithelial cells infected with P. gingivalis were characterized by NTA, followed by an analysis of their inflammatory effects on naïve cells and their microRNA content. The results show that these EV are pro-inflammatory and contain higher levels of microRNAs that modulate host inflammatory signaling pathways. These vesicles appear to contribute to the propagation of periodontal inflammation. However, their potential as natural carriers of biomolecules offers innovative therapeutic perspectives for controlling inflammation and promoting periodontal regeneration.</dcterms:abstract>
